I attended my
first Samoan wedding the first weekend I was in Savaii. The ceremony took place
in a Catholic church, located about 30 minutes away from my village. The
reception was at Eva Eva, a bar in Salelologa.
The ceremony
reminded me of an American wedding: bridesmaids, groomsmen, flower girls, and a
fun reception.
